Sharing food with another human being is an intimate act that should not be indulged in lightly. (M.F.K. Fisher)
If you’ve ever shared a meal around a table with other people, then you know the experience of feeling nourished by more than just the food. As we share conversations, stories, insights, laughter, and sometimes tears around the table, we build deep connections that provide nourishment for our minds and souls, too. Sometimes we are the guests and sometimes we are the hosts. When we are the ones preparing the food, we hope our guests will taste that extra ingredient that only we can provide from the depths of our own hearts. The content that I share at this table won’t be lacking in that special ingredient.
Here, at my table, I invite you into conversations about recipes, cooking techniques, kitchen finds, favorite cookbooks, dining experiences, food memories, and so much more. Imagine we are sitting with rumpled napkins tossed askew of empty plates, shoes kicked off under the table, a sink full of dishes waiting to be washed, a cup of coffee, or something stronger, in our hands while the talk around the table keeps us from noticing the time. Finished with the food long ago, but not with everything else that goes along with it.
Welcome, my friend. Pull up a chair. I’m so glad you’re here.
My two favorite things family and food ❤️
Krista, I feel honored to be chosen to join you in this endeavor! My soul is thirsty for “connection”, and I can’t think of a better person to create such a welcoming and nourishing space. I can’t say I am a “creative type” lol but I will try my best. ❤️
